Drawing on the substantial experience of its employees AJH Piling is able to offer a full range of solutions to almost all foundation problems including the use of cost effective innovative designs that can often reduce costs and help win work for builders and civil engineering contractors. Advice is given for free and without obligation and drawing on Alan Hurst’s experience in the foundation business of over 30 years the company is able to give best design solutions to Consultants and Developers. |
We also give the undertaking that even if the company is unable to provide the solution itself, its philosophy is to give the best advice in any given circumstances and help guide clients in the right direction and we will be more than happy to provide references from Consultants and Contractors we have helped in recent times and with whom the management has worked with over a number of years. |

Fortunately we are in a position to offer all the most the common types of piling including top and bottom driven piles, continuous fight auger (CFA), rotary bored piles and diaphragm walling. We include here some brief details of projects carried out in the last three years and this shows the rigs available to us. |
We were asked to design and construct a foundation package for Four Flats in a residential area in Sheffield. Given the only the Architects drawings we designed a bored pile solution, the beam work on top, and constructed the whole foundation up to underside of brickwork.

An Extension at Furness College Barrow-in-Furness for a new skills workshop is built on foundations installed by AJH Piling using driven pre-cast piles. When we were asked to look at a foundation solution by the Doyle Partnership of Huddersfield because other specialists piling contractors had reservations about taking on the work particularly when it was found that fused slag was present over a large area of the site. |
AJH Piling took on the work as a lump sum at a competitive price and duly completed the work to the contractors and the professional team’s satisfaction.

AJH Piling had already won the contract to install over 300No. CFA piles on a site for flats at Regents Court in Ecclesfield, Nr Sheffield. The work was for contractors Tolent of Leeds. When an unseasonally heavy rain fall caused grounds slippage at the site boundary, AJH Piling were on hand to offer a variety of solutions including soil nailing, an anchored wall, a diaphragm wall, or a cantilever contiguous bored pile wall, to overcome the problem and in the end |
